Default Autograph Identification Help

Hi-
I recently acquired the autographed magazine picture scanned below and I cannot figure out who the player is. The autograph was once part of a scrapbook and all of the pages contained players from the 1930s and 40s. Please let me know if you need a better scan. Thank you in advance for any help.

I figured I would bump this thread once to see if anyone has any thoughts as to who this player might be. On almost every other signature I have found there are at least a couple of letters I can make out, but this one is really stumping me.
Thanks,
Alan

Can you do a closer cropping of the signature so that it is easier to see?

Could it possibly be Larry French (LHP Pirates, Cubs Dodgers 1929-42)? The autograph vaguely resembles his "later in life" one (he was great TTM!).

Lance, here is a cutout of just the autograph. However, I think I need to rescan it when I get home later in the week so I can just focus on the autograph section at a higher resolution.

Moose, I do think it could be French. The last name does appear to end in ch

Thanks,
Alan

It is indeed Larry French, with the image coming from a Conlon photo of French (as in his Conlon Collection card shown below).
