Wow, yeah that 3 is extremely ugly, no way shape or form in better condition than the 2 IMO. Bad corners, edges, surface and back all the way around, I guess the grader was in a good mood that day

In that respect, if that got a 3, mine should have gotten a 4

funny thing - i was bidding on the PSA 3, and got out bidded last second a few hours ago. I found the PSA 2 up for buy it now for $75.00. I emailed the guy and got him to agree to $45.00. Turns out hes also the owner of a card website too that looks interesting.

Looks like the PSA 2 has some type of back damage which would account for the grade. On the back at the corners it appears it was stuck into an album at some point. Otherwise I agree with you that it is very strong for the grade.

Thats what it looks like to me also. There seems to be some glue on all four back corners. Nice card otherwise and worth the $45.

Hell of a pickup, way to buy off the look of the card rather than the slab number, you're one of the few

Default Psa 2

PSA really seems to hate a card with a little glue residue on the back. No matter how nice the card looks, it usually gets a PSA 2. Weird.

Should have tore the glue off. They grade higher when the white paper stock is showing

the PSA 3 - had rounded rough corners on front, a BIG scuff mark on front messing up the beautiful green background and a "dirty" back side.

the PSA 2 - had bricht color, vg corners front, "clean" back with only the small IMO glue marks on the corners on back.

I saw another PSA 2 the ohter day, (front was like this psa3 not too hot)where the back (peedmont) where is had the glue had rippet off half the peedmont logo, and it was still a 2.

IMO the grader was asleep at the wheel - im no grader but a PSA 3 or even a 4 maybe whoul be a more accurate grade for this card

Default without card in hand

making a dtermination on what something should grade can be foolish as scans can sometimes hide problems you can see when card is in hand. even the holders sometimes obscure some problems on cards.

very true but just comparing them side by side one is way better condition than the other.

Default Grading

I agree. Sometimes the grading companies are too technical. They forget to take into consideration the overall appearance of a card.
