Anyone know anything about SGS? I saw some cards in their holders the other day, and am wondering what sort of reputation they have/had.

Thanks.

Paul:

I have never heard of them and would probably opt for a more established company like SGC or Beckett.

I totally agree. I send all my stuff into SGC. I was just considering buying a few things in SGS holders, then cracking them out.

Did a quick google on SGS GRADING COMPANY and found that there is one for grading coins. There site didn't say anything about grading sports cards (www.stargrading.org).

Also, looking through some other search results, I found a few articles of "buyer beware" as SGS Grading is "owned" by an eBay Power Seller.

Looking for T206 Sweet Caporal Fact. #30 White Sox in Poor to Fair condition.
