I clicked on a card this AM, looked at "seller's other items" (Mike Wheat), and noticed he has a total of 19,030 items posted. That must be a record of sorts, no? Guess I can't scroll through them.

eBay is having a 10 cent sale for any listing today only (12/27). sounds like a record to me. The money sounds good if they sell, but I would hate to be the one that would have to ship all those.

He'll probably have 19,025 of his items left at the end of the listings.

If nothing else it is an impressive inventory. Even if the avg. value of an item was only 10 bucks, that's close to a quarter million dollars (yeah, probably chump change for some of you guys, I know!), and presumably the avg. value is a lot higher than that based on the few items I have seen. It will be interesting to see what percentage turns over.

Going thru his stuff just a few minutes ago i noticed some stuff is listed twice, with the 2nd item being in his ebay store so maybe that 19,000 number was right. At last count he sold 52 items, but one of the items which i wouldve bought[a t206 error] is sold and still for sale in his ebay store....that might cause him some problems

Picked up a nice Obak from him.

Ebay must be looking to jack up the quarterly earnings.

Perhaps when ebay does these specials they could create a special category for big dealers: "dealer inventory dump"? The problem is that these listing dumps work their way through the category like a puppy through a python. We have to wade through 19,000 crap listings in search of cards....

To save wading through the Wheat inventory just add -"our grading standards" - it won't get rid of all of them but will get rid of over 40k of them. What's left will just be professionally graded and reprint cards.

It sure looks to me like he has posted a LOT of duplicates - accidentally maybe? That could cause a huge mess, huh? I am very impressed at the volume this guy has though - WOW. I would kill for a collection like that.

With Kris Keppler listed all or most of his auctions under the Pre 1930's section and Wheat duplicated countless listings anything listed that might actually be worth purchasing would take hours to find.

I purchased a card from Mike Wheat, and received a response to explain the duplicate listings. He said that they're 30 day store listings, and 7 day fixed priced listings. So I assume that means when a fixed price or store listing is purchased it removes the corresponding fixed price or store listing.

He also sells stuff from his website too so some of these things are actually listed for sale in 3 different places.

I guess hes doing something right, eventho i think most of his prices are a little too high, its got to be worth it to him if he does it everytime theres a free/discounted listing day

I recently bought 7 cards from him,2 were overgraded by 1 grade,3 were right on,and 2 were actually undergraded so it worked out pretty good
