Okay, I should know this, but I don't. Is the T206 Hayden (Indianapolis) player the same Hayden who led off and played outfield for the Cubs in the Merkle game?

One and the same. Hayden officially retired from the Cubs in 1908 to study dentistry...but was on the Indianapolis minor league roster thru 1911..

More than welcome...and I think the T206 might be the only Hayden card?

I think that is probably correct. It's too bad there isn't a Cubs card of him. Everyone else who played in that game can be found in T206 with either the Cubs or the Giants.

According to U Penn, he left dentistry to become a ballplayer and later went back to pulling teeth.
