Fading autographs, what can I expect with this?
Hi all,
So this is my dream card... I've kept my eye on it for nearly three years and finally have the opportunity to purchase it. I was ready to pull the trigger when I read a thread about fading autographs and in particular, black sharpie, and got turned away. My question is, being that the auto is black sharpie on a modern card (1998), if I keep this in a box and only show it a few times but keep it stored away outside of that, how long can I expect it to last? I don't want to sink $100+ dollars into something that will fade in 30-50+ years and be gone. I want to be able to give this to my future kids and keep it looking sharp. Looking for opinions. Thanks! |
