Default display or not?

Are collectors here with autographed baseball or picture displaying their collection or just hide them away in a closet or attic? I know people that have lots of autographed baseballs and just boxed them up in storage for years. What is the fun with that i asked them. I am displaying it in an Ultra cube in a glass display cabinet. No direct sunlight (away from windows) so that i can show when people visit my house.

Do you guys/gals display or just storage your collection away in fear of fading or what ever?

I have 2 50 ball cases with UV glass along with 6 12 ball cases with UV glass that I have for display. I still keep them in an area that gets very little light and a constant temperature.

I guess it helps living in an area that is not too humid.

I too always wonder what people do w/ their collections. Some simply store them away, or have a safe or safety deposit box. There are some sweet memorabilia rooms on here if you search. I collect HOF autos (@217/300 + future guys). Bought 5x Detolfs from Ikea. Love em. I keep the collection in a low light area (no windows/sunlight) and only turn on the LED lights when people are over. Everything is in plastic so no dust.

Here's an older pic.....currently swapping out the card cut autos for older vintage autos here and there...

Detolf....

They go on sale for $50ea sometimes....also, be careful w/ LED's. they use to be like bright white (like a cool blue) color, but recently changed to a warm piss yellow color, which blows. If you google LED Detolf and pull up some collectible forums (figurines) there's a few online places that sell nice bright LED strips.....

Default Here's how I display some of mine...

In order to better utilize wasted space when I first moved into my home 14 years ago, I designed a "ball wall" which does a nice job of displaying 120 of my signed baseballs. The look that I was going for was clean and modern.

Check it out...

I display my balls at times, but mostly I keep them put away.
