Default Great looking 206 but I dont see how it got a psa 4

Posted By: vetekbob

I popped a bid in on this card because I like the look of the card and I am thinking of bidding again. My question to those that are better versed in 206 than me is, how did this card receive a psa 4? I cant see anything wrong with the card that would keep it from being a psa 5 unless there is a crease or what have you that can't be seen from the scan. Can anyone offer up a suggestion or two on this? This card with the scans shown looks better than some of the 206 psa 5's that I have. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5194930267&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBI%3AIT&rd=1

The card could have a surface wrinkle on it which brought the grade down. On scanned cards its almost impossible to view a wrinkle. The card presents well and looks great.

in a PSA holder, I have little faith in their services.

It bears on this thread in that the scam, er, scan of the card looked much better than the card iself because the size reduction for the post on ebay evened out some dirt and blemishes on the card. My point is that when it comes to fine details ebay scans of slabbed cards are a bit "optimistic".

Thank you both for your replies. I hadn't given thought or consideration in regards to scan reduction and what have you not to mention a possible surface wrinkle on the card but the scan doesnt show it or the holder makes it hard to pick up. I appreciate the tips as it has helped me.

little creases disappear, and big creases become little creases... Can you find the little crease?
