Default T213's....

Posted By: Dave F

I know the T213 Type 2's are considered the most common, which of the type 1 or type 3's are less seen?

Also, are any of the three harder to find than the others in mid-high grades?

Thanks

Oops - thanks SBH for the correction - got my Type 3s mixed up with my Type 1s. The T213-1s were printed on thin paper and therefore are much more prone to condition issues.

FWIW SGC shows 112 T213-1s graded, 1082 T213-2s and 168 T313-3s

Thanks Matt-

But is that true for each of the series? Or can one by harder to come by condition wise than the rest?

I believe type 1's are the scarcest...just my opinion...you don't see them regularly anywhere! There are always type II's and III's on ebay.

Type 1's are the ones that are on thin paper stock and have brown lettering like T206, and I think are by far the toughest to come by.

Edited to add: I think type 2 and 3 are on a thicker stock and have a glossier surface and can be found in high grade...the highest grade type 1 is a 4/50 I believe.

I've seen way less T213-1's in high grade than the other 2 series. Actually a couple years ago I beleive there was a "find" of T213-3's in high grade. I had the chance to buy one of them and it was a PSA 8 of Heine Zimmerman.
