Default 1937 Clinton Owls Team Signed Ball -Rare Autograph!

$500 shipped. This ball includes an autograph of John "Sheriff" Gaddy who pitched only two games in the majors for the Brooklyn Dodgers, but won them both and had an ERA of .6 - he died in a car accident in 1966 and his signature is very difficult to obtain. The ball also has a signature of Clyde Sukeforth who was most famous for scouting and helping sign Jackie Robinson.

Another intriguing autograph is Josh Clarke who may have been a coach with the team. Clarke was the brother of Fred Clarke and he began his major league career in 1898....he also appears in the T206 set playing for Columbus. He died in 1962 and I imagine his autograph is also not easy to obtain.

Other signatures are: George Cisar, James 'Maggie' McGee, Bert Haas, Sam Nahern, Irving 'Gus' Cherry, Wilbur Buchanan, Johnny Krifka, Stan Klopp, Frank Skaff, Norm Hanson, Wilber Roussarie, Vern Voegler, Moe Grossman, Al Wieland.

The ball has been shellacked and the brown spots are where the shellac reacted with the paper insert in the baseball box that it was stored in.
