it's true - I'm no longer a Powerseller. This means that I have lost the status and all other benefits associated with this venerable title, including that little emblem that implies "honesty beyond reproach".

Dear runscott,

Several weeks ago, we sent you an alert about your PowerSeller status. As we informed you, we would review your account 30 days after the alert date. We noticed that your account still doesn't meet the minimum program requirements. As a result, unfortunately, we must end your PowerSeller membership.

Your reputation is tarnished, Scott. I believe this whole board should boycott Scott's auctions for not meeting up to Ebay's standards. We all had such high hopes for you, I was even thinking of putting you on my Christmas list this year. I also think a good counsellor would be in order to make sure you get thru the mental part of this tragedy. Until than rest up Scott, maybe you can regain that status in the future.

Get those power seller figures back up there by visiting the LOC web site and lifting about 100 scans of cards ala Eagle8016, then you will be back in eBay's good graces!

Scott,
Ebay must be trimming the troops, they cancelled my power seller status today also.

Does anyone have a Grandpa who passed who is selling off his card collection so I can get my status back?

Hi Scott
The did the same to me a couple of months ago even though I had 6000.00 worth of auctions ending that very day. Earth to Ebay.... A week later I receive an email about earning Powerseller status, it might mean something if they reduced some of the listing fees or rebated a few points each month. Otherwise it's not worth much.

Be well Brian

PS How's your golf game?

Scott,

I'm sorry. I don't want to do this. But I just deleted your ebay auction list from my Favorites list. It's nothing personal. But if you aren't a Power Seller, why would anyone want to buy from you.

Cy

They asked me if I wanted to be a powerseller a few times but I never got around to it. Seriously, what is the benefit of being a "Powerseller" anyway ?

Cy, after getting over my initial anger, I'm really okay with this. I even took myself off of my favorites list.

EBay asked me to come on board a year ago and I said no. In the words of Groucho Marx, " I would never belong to any club that wanted me for a member!"

I got bumped from silver to bronze! I lost 3 days sleep, considered suicide, beat my wife, and forgot to pick up my kid from day care. I will also be sueing ebay for this unwarranteed stress! Yes this was a joke. As is being a powerseller!

All the emails I get from ebay basically tell me that I am a "Powerless Buyer." That doesn't make me feel too warm and fuzzy about them.
