Default Vintage DiMaggio Opinion

Hi -

Sorry about Imgur link - couldn't locate FYI on how to post direct to site. Anyway, any thoughts in this DiMaggio - been in the family's collection since the 1970s; I believe it is on a 1963 HOF Photo Pack 5x7

Default Any opinions?

Good afternoon -

Opinions are appreciated, of course, please and thanks. Here is another attempt at loading the images directly to Net54.

This is mine. After seeing many examples on this site, I'm fairly certain my signature is a "sister" signature. It has similarities to yours, but I'm hoping yours is real.

Thanks for sharing, OCJack. Going through some PSA and other examples it appears this more formal signature 'style' has both been declared genuine but also sometimes not authentic... I think the PSA exemplars that are most similar seem to be signed bt 1940-60s (when this was supposedly signed) and done more patiently and cleanly, as seen on Player Uniform contracts and more personalized examples.

But I dunno... having spent some time reviewing the last several days, I'd feel comfortable sending to TPA (no plans to actually do this).

Lastly, it appears the above example was folded in half at some point... I'll assume this was due to sending through the mail, and that might lend some additional credence to a secretarial/familial signature, but pure speculation.

Additional opinions appreciated!

Yes, my bad. I folded them for mailing. I did receive 3 others players back that I feel confident about.

Are you referring to my DiMaggio or the OP?

Don't know if this will help, but here is an early steel tip pen version of his autograph.
