Default ID help needed - Early Baseball RPPC

This is a trimmed RPPC from the early 1900-1920 era (??).... probably not a known player but was wondering if anyone could ID this guy? Looks like he might be a pitcher by the pose...... thanks for any help you could give! Rocky

Very cool, no idea!

My guess is that this is a “military pitcher” and it looks like a number on his jersey… 44? May be a unit or outfit that he was in?

Uniforms with collars (such as the one this player is wearing) went out of style around 1910. Uniforms with numbers began in 1929 in the major leagues and probably later in the minor leagues and semi-professional leagues. I doubt that the player on the postcard has a number on his uniform.

It's a cool postcard but without much else to go on it's almost impossible to identify. There are thousands like it..
