Default Worlds Strongest Man 2023 Results

My favorite of those that competed finished 4th. I also wanted 2 people to not win and unfortunately one of those 2 won.

I have no idea why but I just do not like Mitchell Hooper and he won. I also didn't want Brian Shaw to win. I love watching him compete but cringe every time I hear his voice. All I hear is him whining, complaining, and making excuses about everything.

1 Mitchell Hooper — Canada 53.5
2 Tom Stoltman — UK 49
3 Oleksii Novikov – Ukraine 41
4 Trey Mitchell — US 39.5
5 Evan Singleton — US 39.5
6 Pavlo Kordiyaka — Ukraine 31.5
7 Brian Shaw — US 27.5
8 Luke Stoltman — UK 21.5
9 Mathew Ragg — New Zealand 18.5
10 Jaco Schoonwinkel — South Africa (Withdrawn) 5.5

I had no idea they still did this. I remember watching Bruce Wilhelm winning the title on Wide World of Sports, when I was a kid.

Ben - Are you looking to qualify one day?

I recall your log curl construction.

LOL, no I am way too old(54). I lift for fun and to stay off meds. I have Type II Diabetes and lifting heavy weights dramatically lowers my blood glucose level so I don't need meds, for now.

Thanks for the info...I just learned I am Type-1 (at age 67).

As an old pitcher, I have always shied away from 'heavy' weights, but I guess I should start pumping the 59 lbs I have set up for bench presses. Oh, well...gotta (re)start somewhere, huh?

I hope I can drop some of my meds this way too.
