Vintage schedules
I have enjoyed collecting schedules over the past 40 years. It's a relatively inexpensive part of our hobby that has provided me a much needed break over the years from the hectic schedule I maintained running shows. I actively pursue the new schedules each season, but the vintage ones are awesome!
Show us your favorite schedules! Regards, Bill Hedin Here's one I got today! |

I collect schedules as well. Used to collect all 4 sports w/ the minors, and it became too much to handle.
So just collect my favorite teams and vintage ones. Here's a couple of my favorites. The '38 Pirates w/ one of the Waner Bros. (don't know which one) & 1952 Cuban League Last edited by Jay Wolt; 06-23-2012 at 07:48 PM. |

Had this since I was a kid. Check out the prices on the box seats Although I never got to RFK, I have very fond memories of Twi-Night doubleheaders at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Wish they still scheduled them.

Washington fielded a team in the American Association in 1884. After winning only 12 of their first 63 games, the Washington Nationals disbanded after losing on their home field to the N.Y. Metropolitans (with HOFer Tim Keefe batting 7th!) on August 2nd by a score of 6 - 5. A fan who attended this last game wrote "Disbanded this date" on their 1884 schedule as well as on their scored scorecard (in the right-hand margin). Both of these items are pictured below:

Hi Hank - Thanks for the kind words re the above items and the 1924 Senators composite! Hope all is going well for you. I assume I'll see you at the Chantilly Show in a couple of weeks.
Here's an 1888 schedule published by the Pittsburgh Post newspaper. The original owner started out the season by recording the scores of all the games, but discontinued doing this after May 21st. I like the 2 pages that show the rosters for all of the teams. Another page (not pictured) shows the 1887 won-loss records for each month for each team. Val |

My last one - an 1894 schedule published by a Philadelphia newspaper. In this one, the original owner recorded the line scores from every game for the entire 1894 season. Every couple of pages there are some interesting tidbits of info.

Hey Chris,
I'm glad to see that you were the one that picked up the 1939 Reds schedule with Vandy on it. Is this the one that was on eBay recently? I had it on my watch list, but did not bid on it. Congrats, Scott |
