Default T206 sellers/dealers

Can you all recommend sellers/dealers of T206s who are trustworthy to purchase ungraded T206s from? There are tons of sellers on eBay selling ungraded T206s, but I always wonder about trimming and other such alterations. It is hard to account for these things when the card isn't in hand. I may very well stick with graded T206s when buying on eBay or elsewhere online, but it would be nice to have options. Thanks.

Default Thanks Sean!

Yes, 99 percent of the T206 cards I sell are raw. I SOLD OVER 100 at the National but still have over 150. P.S. We are NOT Dean's Cards!

LOL. Dean's Cards would be an example of items that sit on eBay and sit and sit and sit some more. All overpriced.

What grade are you looking for in ungraded T206? If you are after lower grade stuff, I think you should mainly just focus on becoming good at examining a scan. There are a lot of sellers who are great to buy from though, and it's a good question. These guys come to mind:

Rob Adesso (caramelcard), Mark Macrae (need to sign up for his email list), buythatcard, painthistorian, Larry Harris. I'm sure there are a bunch I'm forgetting, and most of the guys listed are not high volume sellers.

Thanks, Luke. I have bought postwar cards from a couple of those sources.

I have 19 raw T206's beginning tomorrow night as straight $9.99 auctions. All of my cards are heading to ebay as straight auctions, but that's the last of the T206s.

Scott is a great guy too. Although he did once inadvertently elbow me in the face while celebrating an RBI double at a Mariners game.

Thanks. I thought I had stuck my elbow in a can of Spam. Thanks for finally solving that mystery.

Well, my nose was already broken, so I can see why you might have thought that.

The people Luke mentioned in his post are all good (I got some great stuff from Rob Adesso at the National at very good prices), but Luke himself is a great source of raw T206s (and some graded). He and Scott Gross (mybuddyinc) are the two members of this board from whom I've gotten the most T206s in recent months, always at very reasonable prices and with great service.

I seem to also do most of my buying from Luke and Scott. Both are great to deal with and have reasonable prices.

Regarding Polar Bear backs, I think so - all are now listed and will end Monday the 17th.

Luke - I will bring a bag of ice to the next game we attend, just in case I get unruly again. I got laid off from my waterboy job, so pick a date after next weekend and I'm there.
