Hello, I've been reading these boards for a long time and finally joined. When I was a kid in the early 1970's, I had a football card that had a description of a position (cornerback),along with a diagram that showed the location of this player. As far as I can recall, there wasn't a player photo on it, and I believe it was normal card size. I'm not sure where it came from : gas station, magazine, etc.
Does this sound familiar to anyone ? I remember carrying that card around for a long time, studying it.
Any input would be great.
Thanks.

The card you describe sounds like a 1973 Fleer AFC-NFC Pro Bowl Scouting card. The card was part of a 14 card set with each card showing a different position with a diagram of the position on the field. The cards came one per pack with two cloth team logo patches. The cards are a little bigger than the standard sized cards (2-1/2" x 4"). -Mike

Thanks for the great info, Mike.
