Awesome! Glad you located one. I picked up mine at the National when a dealer was wholesaling some large format photos...got it crazy cheap. The thing I love about that first game photo is the look on Pete's face...the other guys are merely taking the field, business as usual, and Pete is just about to crap himself with excitement! Lol
Congrats man...That is going to make one fantastic "bookends" display of Pete's career! Glad my post made you aware of it. I look forward to seeing them together when you get them displayed...hope you post an updated pic! |

It is funny that you mentioned Pete's face because that is the first thing I noticed too. I will definitely post a picture when I get it hung. Thanks again.

I'm trying to locate any and all who may have any images of the Palace of the fans from outside the ball park?

That's a tough ask. I'm sure that a few exist, but it seems every surviving photo and PC show the spectacular interior. I am eager to see an exterior image as well.

A little easier to complete than their 1919 WS counter parts subset, but still desirable and overlooked I think. Didn't try for high quality/grades but still a pretty nice looking grouping for strip cards with room to improve on a few if I ever decided to go that route

I know this is the memorabilia section, but it looks like this thread has plenty of cards, so here's another one.

Here's a great look at the Redlegs during that memorable summer of 1956, courtesy of the Cincinnati Pictorial Enquirer.
