Default Card Shop with PreWar in KC?

Hello,

Is there a card shop in Kansas City that has a good pre-war/tobacco selection? If so, is there a best shop?

Thanks

Andy

Baseball Card Store on 87th is probably one of the top shops. Don't expect a lot of pre-war though.

I was in there on Tuesday. They had a couple of Mathewson and a Cobb in t206, and a Cobb in 205.

That was it though.

As mentioned in the previous post, prewar doesn't happen often with their inventory.

Default Check out NLBM

If you haven’t been and you’re going to be in KC, I recommend checking out the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Some great vintage photos and memorabilia. I was there a couple summers ago with my boys and we all enjoyed the experience. We followed up with lunch at Arthur Bryant’s BBQ, which is a short walk away. It was a great way to spend a half-day in KC.

Here are a few pictures from our day at the museum (sorry about the sideways photos!)

If you see an 80s Kansas City Team Photo Issue John Schuerholz, let me know.

Shameless plug. Haha.

Enjoy KC!

+1 on the NLBM

As a prior 30 year Missouri Resident - I have been there several times - always a great day.

Additionally The KC Jazz Museum (same location) is equally impressive.

In Fact the entire area at 18th & Vine offers lots to do - and there is absolutely nothing anywhere as good as KC BBQ - Enjoy
