Last month I was lucky enough to pick up seven 1934 goudeys from a good friend ,last week he was kind enough to sell me the rest of the Partial set he had!

All the cards are pretty nice with some being extremely nice ,so I'm now at 67 out of 97 to compete!

Great pickups everyone. I just have the Big Head Ruth card. In a weird way, I really like this set.

I have been fortunate to know only a few members who have/ or had interest in this 1916-20 Big Heads...Anyone else collects or has these????
I read that Leon had some at one time and found some interesting info on this set on this forum.

My first time posting on the pickup thread, but it felt like when you get your first Cobb, it is something worth sharing and celebrating. From a Heritage auction a few weeks ago

Hmm...image shows up fine for me but maybe not for others. Let's try a new link with public permissions.

Fantastic cards, guys!

I'm very happy to acquire these cards from Jamie B. As you know, he has a few epic runs (Cobb, Seymour, etc), and I'm stoked to get these "extras" from him. Thanks Jamie!

I guess I'm kinda doing a player run now(?)...

Took me years to get a Tolstoi for my Providence team set. Had no idea how hard these would be to find.

Some great pick ups, including a tough E106 Matty; LOVE the Ruth Big Head; Great Seymour Run; nothing wrong with a green cobb or Tolstoi back. BUT damn, that Herp Jax is awesome! Jeff, I am glad you jumped on that; I just kept looking and glad it went off the market and you were the one who got it (but no Gimbels or Famous Barr......! )

I am glad I got that card also. And I will get the Gimbel and Famous Barr at some point again.
Love your Wagner and Team. I put a few bids on it before moving on.

A collection of mounted collections? That sounds awesome. A bear to display, I'd guess, but awesome. There's a home for everything. There was a discussion on here a few years ago about a steamer trunk that had the lid lined with (IIRC) T-206s.

August defintely had some firsts for me. I went from owning zero prewar cards to three. The first coming from BST, as I was able to pickup this beautiful Butterfinger Jimmie Foxx. Similarly earlier in the month, on my trip up to the Hall, I was able to pick up a 34 Goudey Jimmie Foxx. It's beat to hell and covered in tape, and will defintely be an upgrade candidate down the road, but for now, I'm very happy to have it in my collection. The final Pickup, was my first foray into Tobacco cards. I obtained a Sweet Corporal Back, Eddie Collins. I'm very happy with how cheap his cards are considering he was such a fantastic player. I'm resisting the urge to jump down the t206 rabbit hole however, because I fear it will bankrupt me!
