Default May Pickups

This crisp T210-7 arrived yesterday,

A. J. Dussault was a catcher on the Rocky Mount team, and a teammate of the great athlete Jim Thorpe.

I first learned of A. J. Dussault when Rhett Yeakley found a RPPC of both Dussault and Jim Thorpe 13 years ago.

Here's a link to that thread:https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=127277

Wow, and those don’t have the paper loss you see on most of the (very few) examples out there. You need to get the entire subset. It shouldn’t be too hard or expensive

The pin and postcards are from LOTG. The signed Doors pic is from Gottahaverocknroll - forgive me Leon, I know it’s not vintage baseball, but I have to show it off somewhere

Nice Doors pickup. Robbie Krieger signed? Maybe hidden in his hair?

That's an early Doors photo.

Ryan what year do you estimate / know the photo is? 1967?

Super cool item. Nice change of pace, that's a very rare item.

The auction description says signed in 1968 while on tour to Denmark and Sweden. It will go on this wall next to the signed Led Zeppelin IV album, and I have a Trey signed White Tape Phish album to go next to that

Thanks guys. Yes, Brian Jones is on the Stones pic.

Doug, the Green Day, Counting Crows and Blondie are “fillers” that will eventually yield to the Who, Janis Joplin, Beatles, Pink Floyd and there are several others I would like - Prince Purple Rain, Nirvana, traveling Wilburys, Tom petty, Dillon, etc. That said, I think Counting Crow’s August and Everything After is one of the best albums ever made.

I got a chance to pick this up at about the comps of the two T206s raw, so I figured, "Why not?" The Snodgrass was the first T206 I ever got (still have it) and I love Marquard's stories in Glory of Their Times. Yes, I will always wonder what backs they have.

Some gamers in this week.

The first is a throwback to the Christy Mathewson days. This jersey was worn by Russ Ortiz in a game against the A's. It is autographed and came with a letter of authenticity from the A's. The jersey is actually flannel as well. I can't imagine wearing this in June in Oakland. Ortiz did not pitch that day so this was worn in the dugout.

The other gamer is an alternate Kenny Lofton from his short stint on the Giants. These were only worn on Friday night home games so Lofton could only have worn it a handful of times since he was acquired at the trade deadline.
