try calling PSA, they should be able to help, not sure if they give the photo a grade - but like autographs they can authenticate the photo - they may have some kind of grading system for photos

Take care Jimmy

As Burke stamped his name and address on the back of nearly all of his photos, there's no need to get PSA's opinion as to authenticity. However, many of Burke's are postcard size and might fit in a PSA holder, so it's possible (I don't know) they might entomb them. A lot of Burke's photos are 8x10, and I'm not sure PSA would have a big enough holder for those.

I don't think PSA slabs photos unless they have an autograph on them.

Speaking of Burke photos that are all in that slightly larger than postcard size, has anyone ever cataloged these photos? I know there are literally thousands of them, but it seems to me that it would be a worthwhile challenge. Some of them have to be extremely rare...I would bet this photo of Joe Peterman who was not a major leaguer, but who went to Spring Training with the Dodgers every year would be a very difficult one to find. This one originated from his estate. You could probably collect these your entire lifetime and not be able to acquire all of them.

My chief concern is protection. It is stamped on the back. Ah who knows....I guess everything doesn't have to be run past PSA. Maybe being wild and free is the way to go on this one...

They fit perfectly into postcard sized top loaders.

For those who don't know, Burke supplied original photos to many Major League ball players so they could fulfill their fan requests. This is why many Burke photos are autographed. You may notice there are a lot of Babe Ruth autographed Burke photos, Ruth presumably having purchased the photos from Burke.
