Default AROD extends all time GS record

Love him...hate him...you can't deny AROD's history with the bases jacked.

I had the game on the radio last night as I was cleaning the house...not really paying attention...then I hear and with the bases loaded, Alex Rod..... is coming to bat.

You knew the chances were good...and BAM!!!!!!

He did it again.

As a kid I always thought Gehrig's GS record was pretty secure.

Well, technology has changed pretty much everything.

Gehrig is still First, just like Aaron.

I guess you can like Gehrig more, but Arod holds the record

I like records, but the GS record is more of an opportunity record anyway. Yes, it helps your chances if you're a homerun hitter with the bases loaded, but you still have to have the opportunity.

I'm more accepting of the Aaron record still being legit, but I don't try to act like Bonds never broke it. I mean, the homers didn't hit themselves!

Yeah, but they sure were easier to hit through chemistry, huh?

Rodriguez has 25 HRs in 298 all-time PAs with the baseloaded - 1 every 12 PAs. That's pretty darn great. Career, he's hitting .352 with the bases loaded.

That average pales next to Pat Tabler, whose .489 average in 109 PAs is pretty darn remarkable.

Baseball Reference has no data for Gehrig in bases-loaded situations.
