Default Hobby Resources?

Hello all, I'm not sure if this is the right place for this or not but I got back into collecting in the last couple of months after having stopped collecting in about 2012 or 2013 and because of that have lost most of my hobby knowledge. My question is what are the best/everyone's favorite hobby resources to keep track of whats going on/learn about cards. Are there any podcasts, youtube channels, websites that you guys would recommend? I read this board, blowout and a fb group from time to time and have already learned a lot but would love to learn more.

Thanks!

Welcome back to this neck of the collecting wood (cardboard being just another tree product). Here are a couple of great sites for reference on PreWW2 cards:

http://www.oldcardboard.com/

https://prewarcards.com/

And for the most in depth coverage of many different issues of the PreWW2 era, Lew Lipset's Encyclopedia of Baseball Cards (if you check around you should be able to find the reprint that includes all 3 Volumes in one) is still, after 35 years, a relevant old school resource.

I like the youtube channel ThoseBackPages. The videos are pretty short but lots of knowledge packed in there.

Sports Collectors Daily website and Facebook page.

But for the most part, if it's news in card collecting, it's going to have a thread either here or Blowout.

Sure thing! It's not for everybody and he doesn't talk much about prewar but I like a little of every era so it's right up my alley and his love for the hobby is obvious.

There are numerous resources for T206, specifically. Just google it. But this book/article is, in my opinion, the best T206 resource around

http://www.oldcardboard.com/t/t206/i...al-edition.pdf

Oh, and this website ain’t half bad either. I have learned a TON from old threads on net54

Yeah, he really loves it. I'm not into all the modern stuff he's into, but you can tell he loves the cards, and that's what it's all about.
