Default hot/cold sets?

Posted By: Jeff Prizner

So what's currently hot in the vintage card world? And what has cooled off?

Seems like T3's, e93's and t206's have cooled off a little (yet still in high demand) from where they were a few months ago, while e94's and e98's have picked up some steam. Also seems to be more interest in the black and white cards now too.

Thoughts?

E121, E120 and other black and white sets have been doing very well on ebay and at auction.

I'm glad to hear that T206 and E93 prices have cooled a bit. I'm trying to complete both and have been breaking the bank. If anyone out there has some to sell or "dump", please lmk.

The black and white cards are my personal favorite. The M101-5/4, Collins-McCarthy, Boston Stores, Weils seem to be "hot." Although the M101-5/4s are relatively abundant, the difficulty of the Collins-McCarthy, Boston Stores, Weils, etc. sets are driving prices up.

I also am a fan of the black and whites. They look great and feature players from the era in baseball that interests me the most. E135 and E121 have been my favorites for the last couple of years. Myself, I wouldn't have said that the Collins McCarthy cards are hot because I haven't seen enough of them for sale lately to read their temperature. It will be interesting to see if many M101's, E135's, E120's, E121's will show up at the National.

and I like it that way:

Since I'm working on the set in SGC 30 to 50 I thought this was a bit low for this nice of a card. I've seen PSA 2's going for more last week and SGC 30/2's going for as much for the commons of this set.

I heard the market for T206 Wagners is going to cool off because of some book.

Obaks, Zeenuts, most PCL is too hot.
