Default Unusual 1928-29 Babe Ruth postcard

In-uniform images are preferable to everyday attire, except when they aren't, as with this 1928-29 postcard of Babe Ruth next to someone identified on the reverse as a "Seminole Indian Medicine Man." Two men, worlds apart but shoulder to shoulder, both at the top of their games. (The circular mark is in the negative). A similar study in contrasts is found in the striking image beside it. For more unusual early postcards, click HERE (and click on any image for a description and a better look, and then click on All The Photos for the main page and other galleries, including more postcards).

The Babe sure was the coolest back in those days and that is one hell of a shot of the "Sultan", WOW.
