Default Two Nice Crack-Resub .5 Upgrades...

Cracked these and resubmitted them...

The Satch is big as only one PSA 2 is recorded in VCP. Was a 1.5. Probably only a handful of this card are both centered and focused, across all grades.

I was hoping the Aaron's eye appeal would carry it to a 3.5 from a 3, as so very few hit the eye like this one, with the side borders starting even at the top. Sean B found this one raw for me at the National-- good eye, Sean!

Two very nice looking cards. I have hopes of getting a Satchel for my collection in the future.

Default That Paige

Is awesome. Much better eye appeal than some of the high grades out there. The Aaron certainly pops as well. Congrats.

MattyC

Both great cards. Well done.
If you don't mind me asking, did you find them both on E-Bay? If so, did you pay commensurate for the stated grade or did you have to fork over an 'aesthetic premium?'

Paid $600 cash for the Aaron raw.

With the Paige it's hard to say, since so few sell and the pricing data is often dated on this card. It was a 1.5 and I paid more than the last 2 had sold for and less than what a 2.5 sold for-- but that 2 had sold five years earlier and the 1.5 utterly destroyed it in terms of eye appeal.

In general I always buy the card and have no problem paying a seller what a higher grade card costs if the card in question looks head and shoulders better than 90%+ of those in the next grade up.
