Did Sears sell the brand years ago? I always thought that was the true beginning of their end. Used to be fairly good tools for the average homeowner, the lifetime warranty was great and on a no questions asked basis.

You can still get the tools at Lowes and Ace Hardware but they are not American made anymore. Just like the sticker says, made here with parts from other countries. For the money still a great buy. I've had most of my Craftsman tools for almost 30 years and still going.

If you are looking at craftsman, may as well go to harbor freight and get their chinese made junk. About the same quality now, and much cheaper
