Default 1975 Topps Mini

It seems they go for less than the regular version now. At least the key card (George Brett) in the set in a PSA 8 holder.

When I started collecting they were 2x the regular version. I'm aware of treasure trove of them entered the market because someone in Michigan had a bunch. But was it enough to tilt the market that much?

I'm a long time collector of the set. Built it fully graded in 8+ and raw. In short, yes, Charlie Conlon's treasure trove of unopened packs did it for graded copies in 8+. It hit the market around 2009 or 2010.

Neat set though. Topps toyed with doing it again in 1985 but never proceeded beyond the proof/prototype stage. They did put out several mini supplemental offerings in the 80s
