Second Annual Suit and Tie Affair
It's that time of year again in which each of us will have to dress up in a suit and tie for some sort of affair. Let's see your properly attired players/managers/owners:

I don't have this card yet. Described as the Toronto baseball team with Joe Kelley, there seem to be a heck of lot of players. Can anyone identify any of the players? Max |

Love the suits!
Some of my favorites. Collins looks like a depression-era hobo and Maranville looks more like Boris Karloff than a baseball player!

I may be a little confused by the dress code, but I could swear Harry's boys are wearing baseball uniforms, and not the required suit and tie... |

Not sure how well this will show up - I don't own it, just found it on the internet a couple of years ago.
It's a photo that appeared on a menu at Toots Shor's in the 1950's. Back row: Jimmy Foxx, Mel Ott, Mickey Cochrane, Ed Walsh, Toots Shor, Rogers Hornsby, Pie Traynor, Tris Speaker. Front row: Fred Clarke, Arlie Latham, Cy Young, George Sisler, Charley Nichols, Ty Cobb, Charley Gehringer. Last edited by jlynch1960; 12-15-2009 at 07:10 AM. |

jlynch1960, you posted it for me! I have one of these menus, and it'll always be a favorite of mine.
