Just wanted to alert anyone thinking about bidding on this card. I owned this card and sold it a few weeks ago to the person who is now selling it. The problem is that the new seller is not disclosing the fact that it has some paper loss on the back - instead, she/he is making it sound like a legit card to send in for a regrade. |

Thanks for the heads up on nomar. I saw that listing the other day and I was planning on emailing him and asking him for the measurements of the E90-1 cards he has up. If there were more people like gray out there, Ebay would be even better. It would be nice to be able to buy very nice legit un graded cards but this is just more evidence for me that unless I get a referral from the experienced collectors on here as to who to buy from I will stick with purchasing graded cards on ebay. Seeing this kind of stuff just makes a true collector sick. |

Finally, does anyone think that Janice6499 is a schill for seller Nomar5378. Here is a list of items Janice has bid on and/or won. Notice that all the cards that she has won are under $10. Keeps coming up short on anything of value, but has bid up all of nomar's cards. |

The Cobb sold for over $660 - I sold it to the scammer a week ago with full disclosure of the paperloss for 405. |

I just bought some commons from this nomar person and the package came with the name Janice as the return address so I'm assuming that's an affirmative on the schilling question. |

Now these cards are "very nice shape" and include two "very rare" Willetts variations. I contributed 15 of the cards in this lot in a sale a couple of weeks back. My scans were a lot closer and showed that they were quite beat up. Plus, the buyer asked me to rush the cards to the post office because they were for his/her son's birthday. I knew this to be untrue, but sent the cards expedited anyway. I guess I should've known. Obviously, it's his/her right to resell them... it's just being done in a deceptive fashion. |

Well, the Cobb ended up in Duncan, SC. It was purchased by my dealer as a second chance offer from eBay. He had no idea until he got the card about the back damage. He traded it to a relative newbie just looking for any Cobb for a Steiner Soriano jersey. The guy that ended up with it was so happy that it will probably be tucked away in his collection for quite sometime. |

Without getting ourselves into trouble, would it be possible to put out a list of "sellers to watch out for"? Besides the obvious reprints and fakes that less-than-brilliant folks auction off, some of these situations frighten me. |

That 80 card lot that t206collector pointed out is off by at least $8800 on his listed estimate. Most of the lot contains $5 fillers that are missing big chunks of the cards or are trimmed. I would say the breakup value of the lot is about $750 at the most and some of them would be hard to get rid of at any price. What do you do with 2 extra Tannehill cards that have been to a barber shop? |

Maybe if Nomar didnt tear his groin this year he wouldnt have to resort to ripping people off on ebay...although I cant imagine a seasoned collector falling for this one given the scans, but I am sure there will be some people taken by it. |

I don't know how someone could do this...I feel bad for the guy who wins Nomar's auction....I was going to email him and ask the condition of the cards and that I noticed his previous poor condition T206 lots purchased between $30-$100...I am new to collecting vintage cards but the number of people ripped off on ebay must be astounding. |
