Default Metaphorical Shelf Space

Am I the only one who is disappointed to see all the brand new and very recently issued "chase" cards and limited edition inserts seeming to take over so much space at the AHs? I get that the market drives the sellers, and that there is stupid money to be made flipping these ultra-high grade brand-new 1/1 LeBrons or Trouts, but it does sadden me to see that vintage cards, especially pre-WW2, seem to have been pushed aside to make room for the SGC 10 Giannis selling for $1.8 million or whatever. I hope this is a short-lived "gold rush" trend that peters out soon.

I just take it in stride. I have no interest whatsoever but there is a lot of money there so that is where the companies go. I don't blame them. I am just glad I don't have to deal with those type cards. To each their own. I am sure those collectors (are most flippers?) get joy from their collecting too.

Every thread needs a card. One of my better BST pickups.
