Default Raul Ibanez stuck at 29

Everyone knows Raul Ibanez recently tied Ted Williams' record for HR's by a player over 40 in a season, at 29. I went to the game today and each time he came to bat, ran over to RF and sat about six rows up on a clear row, ready to trample women, maul children, whatever it might take to end up with his 30th. Didn't happen.

Sadly (to me, anyway) it was Eric Wedge's last game as manager for the Mariners. I thought he had the team on track, and it sucks that they are keeping the idiots and getting rid of the one guy who could bring their mythical plan to fruition.

Here's a pic of Ibanez' last swing of the year - a pop-up to left field:

Yanks letting Ibanez go was just one of their many mistakes after last year.
