Cobb (red 4) and the e-95 wagner. I had bids on a bunch of others like the lot of 60 but ended up concentrating on picking up some of the unopened. |

What the hell is up with CSA.... maybe i just don't read properly ...but actually it is pretty vague .... the whole auction went into overtime for like 2 hours...didn't end until 3am EST...that's not good business. |

CSA will keep extending the auction if someone bids in the last 8 minutes or so. I got a little frustrated with that during their last auction. Even though I'm on the West Coast, I feel for you guys who can't stay up to babysit your auctions. |

REA did and does the same thing...I don't recall what 19C does. I do like how Mastro changed their auction to the individual closing of lots. |

Wheaties Gehrig. I am suprised there was not more interest in this. I think i remember the last one on ebay going for more than the closing price on this one. |

Picked up the lot of 10 scarce backs. Looks like the ungraded ones are trimmed, but oh well. Probably overpaid for the lot, but I put my high bid in, thinking I would get outbid and didn't, so all's well that ends well. |

I think alot of the lots went very low. For example i never expected my bid on the red cobb 4 to win or a bid of 180.00 on a 1950 campy in an 8 to be top dog. That was really just a spur of the moment bid as i really don't collect the 1950 set or Campy stuff. Oh well i should flip it for a profit on ebay. |

Let me say that "Huggins & Scott" are one of the most honest, reputable auction houses in the hobby. I agree with the Scott in the previous post that some of the lots went lower than they should have. I think one reason is because this is only their 3rd "national" auction with a catalog & web site. They don't have the massive mailing list that the other auction houses have... I always tease Josh that they need to get a big auction house's mailing list. |

Alan- Actually Huggins and Scott aren't consignors- the people who gave them material are the consignors. They are the auction house. |

The emails I received regarding lots bid on and lots outbid on all ended up in my spam box for some reason. Also, the one thing that struck me was that they didn't send out emails throughout and in the final days of the auction. They can be annoying at times but they do remind some of the more casual bidders when the auction ends. Some of us need to be beat over the head more often with this information than others. I was really only interested in the Yuenglings Ruth and the Oxford Johnson, both of which met or exceeded what I was willing to pay. |

I thought the catalog was well done. If you look at the collage on the interior front and back covers you will see my T216 VE sliding card that I'm about to not lose in the football pool. |

The Ruth of the Johnson were the only two cards that I were bidding on as well. I won the Ruth but got beat out in the end on the Johnson. |
