Default Info needed: 1950s basketball presentation watch

Hoping for some info/opinions on this 1950s basketball presentation watch.

It isn't mine, but I told someone I would help out with info.

Owner is wondering about the demand for an item such as this and the value of it. The player it belonged to was Ed Kalafat.

What would be the best way to sell such an item? Auction presumably, but which one?

Thanks in advance
Travis

Don’t know anything about the watch but here’s a program from one of the games.

Kalafat played 3 years in the NBA for the Minnesota Lakers. I remember writing him TTM for his autograph in the 1990's. He passed away in October. Not a big enough name to affect the value of the watch. The Globetrotter association would probably help. I could see it getting $300 - $500, but would not expect more.

There is a NY times article from 1954 that says the Globetrotters and College All Stars played a series if 20 games in various cities. Nice watch. There is currently a program on ebay. If I was you I would get it as documentation for the watch. Hope this helps.
