i traded for this at the 1991 Anaheim National. Had it slabbed years later. "Buck" certainly took his cuts, didn't he?

If that's the ball down by his right foot, he missed it by a mile.

They put the wrong brother in the hall of fame. So, for the Rick Ferrell card in my hall of fame collection, I decided to give Wes his due.

Molenick- that's a type 2, 15 card set and very rare.
DJ- great backstamp
Richard, that's one of the nicest Sport Kings I've ever seen, usually they're pretty beat up.
Great cards guys, thanks for posting.

Casey2296, the odd thing about Type 2 is that there is no Texas Tommy indication anywhere on the card of (the back is blank). But the lettering used for the player name and team designation is the same as Type 1, so I guess someone made the connection. I also think the poses may be the same, but I have not seen enough cards to verify that this is always the case. Based on your posting and Old Cardboard https://oldcardboard.com/e/e2/e224/e...?cardsetID=768 the Gregg pose is the same.

You are correct, and I apologize for posting your card. I quickly grabbed an image from a folder on my computer and did not realize I grabbed the wrong one. Here is the card I meant to show from my collection (and my trimmed one as a bonus). That said, you have a great card and I would love to discuss purchasing it if you ever decide to part with it.
Take Care

Just in from REA. Some have argued Marsans and Almeida were early color barrier breakers.

No problem. That being said, your card looks as good as mine, and I imagine the downgrade was because of pencil writing of a number on the back, which pretty much all T4s have.

This is kind of a niche thing, but so be it.

Pre-1900 Japanese baseball stuff is very rare. This postcard is dated 1891. It's the earliest baseball-themed postcard I've ever heard of, and it pre-dates the earliest known menko card (the most common type of Japanese baseball card) by six years.

Love Japanese cards. These are three uncatalogued examples from the 1920's if my memory serves.

Not breaking the 'one card/one post per day' guidelines...this is the front and back of one W517 card.

Love this card, not really sure why.

Since there were some Japanese cards posted, here is my only Japanese baseball item. I think it is a high school team from the 1930s but I can't find the original documentation at the moment. It is 7" X 9" (and the back is, of course, the same size as the front but for some reason the scans came out as different sizes).

I have for some reason become particularly fond on this card in my collection. The scratch is on the case, so I am thinking I should get it reholdered?
