I know the second one is kind of cheating but I don’t care.

Great cards everyone and a fun thread, Peter. (If you ever decide to move that Kersee, let me know. Not an easy card to find)

A couple of kind gents from N54 have helped me start building a nice WNBA collection. Here's a couple of recent acquisitions.

The Bird RC is still in the stapled toploader from the redemption. I'll cut it out soon, but until then I have the top pinched with tape to keep it away from the staple. And the relic is from her first WNBA game jersey. Would be a great card to get signed.

The Catchings isn't all that valuable, but I think it's a great looking card.

That's a cool note. What is the story behind the note? Did you mail her the card to be autographed?

I believe these should count. She was an integral participant in many baseball games in the 80's. Cards issued by Playboy in 1983. No gum.

Thanks !!!
Yes - I mailed her the pocket schedule and she signed it. And she included the sticky note, which she just attached to the schedule. I'm sure it was one of, if not the only autograph request she ever got outside of Israel (I believe she was the first orthodox Israeli women basketball players to get a full athletic scholarship to a division 1 school in the US).

Thanks for the explanation. Nice to get a hand-written note like that.

I found that info on her but not whether the team ever released official "cards" that the premium might be a part of.

For anyone interested, Diana Taurasi is doing a signing through a Steiner sub-company: https://collectiblexchange.com/produ...aurasi-send-in

I mailed in my rookie.
