Default Aretha Franklin dies at 76

Aretha Franklin has died at the age of 76. The legendary performer is perhaps most famous for her hit song "Respect," which she released in 1967. By the age of 18, she had secured a record deal and climbed the billboard charts. She was known as the "Queen of Soul" by the late 1960s. In 2005, President George W. Bush honored her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

I'm a little confused. She passed away over two years ago to my knowledge, in 2018. Has she secretly been alive for this whole time?

Her funeral was all over TV a few years ago. Maybe a repeat performance?

Suddenly, I felt out of the loop.

Certainly, she deserves the r-e-s-p-e-c-t that we remember, at least, when she passed.

And what in the world is her much belated death announcement doing in the ALL SPORTS area?

In other news, Cal Ripken Jr. has broken Lou Gehrig's consecutive game record.
