Normally, when most people react with the " terrible" or "this is he worst forgery ever" I think they are going over the top. This time may be different. This is a terrible forgery and one of the most highly forged photos are all time. The reason you like it is because everyone would like to have a movie poster signed by Mantle and Maris. This is why it's so highly forged. This should stick out like a giant sore thumb if you do your homework.

The Mantle is very poorly done but the Maris does fall into the category of one of the worst ever.

Those Mantle/Maris forgeries have been sold by the dozens for the past six months by a ring of sellers on Ebay.

They are all "authenticated" by Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA) group.

Below is a link to "Sold Auctions" on Ebay of Roger Maris/Mickey Mantle forgeries all "authenticated" by Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators (GFA) group.

Pure Garbage!!! All penned during the last year and many on reproduced "Safe At Home" posters.

You would be hard-pressed to find a set of Mickey Mantle/Roger Maris autograph autographs on a Safe At Home poster.

That GFA-certed garbage continues to be mass-produced out of Florida.

As others have stated, these are generally accepted by knowledgeable collectors and dealers as mass-produced fakes that trace back to a source in Florida. This style is typified by an unnatural drawn look, and when you see them in quantity, it’s obvious they are cookie cutter duplicates.

They are flooding the market with these and the Safe at Home image is one of their favorites to use. I have seen more Maris + Mantle dual signed items in the past 6 months than I have in the previous 10 years combined.

By the way... the photos from this source appear to be printed on high res inkjet photo printers. Printers that did not exist in the lifetime of Maris or Mantle. So much for the so-called "forensic experts" who routinely certify this obvious rubbish.

Absolutely.

Amazing how Stephen Rocchi went from a card grader at PSA to a "Forensic Examiner" of autographs.

The sellers who sell that GFA-certed crap, post all kinds of claims about Rocchi and autograph authentication.

There is no proof that Rocchi was ever involved in autograph authentication at PSA.

And those Mantle/Maris forgeries with GFA certs are laughable forgeries.
