Default Sites for collectors of modern stuff

Probably not right to ask here, Leon please remove if so.

Just got a message from my son that a co-worker would be interested “in a site like that one you go to all the time, but just not about old stuff. He wants to know about shows and other people his age who collect.”

I’m guessing he would be somewhere between 25 and 30, and lives in the Quad Cities so may not be any shows in that area.

But though if someone is interested in getting more deeply involved in the hobby, wouldn’t hurt to ask.

My newest stuff is one 1968 Topps, then you have to go back to 1911 …

Sportscollectors.net covers modern autographs. I don’t recall if they get too deep into modern not-autographed stuff; it’s been a few years since I was a member.

I am 35 and I enjoy Twitter. It's called Hobby Twitter. I follow the vintage collectors, but there are some collectors who are mixed. Here are some tag names you can pass along for modern collectors:
@Cardpurchaser
@MrKdub
@LAcarddude

Then if he scrolls through the replies he can just follow those collectors who have items he is interested in.

The Facebook groups I am in for the Cincinnati Reds are pleasant. The group for Ken Griffey Jr is kind of immature.

There are also a lot of Discord servers devoted to modern sports cards, someone in the 25-30 age group would probably be familiar with and able to navigate through that.
