Default Canadian Sports Champions Exhibit cards?

Hi Gang:

A question for you Exhibit card collectors out there.

I have picked up some cards that look entirely different than the "normal" 1949 Sports Champions Blue tint Exhibit cards.

All are included in the 1949 Set as some players were only released in 1949 blue tints while others were in both the 1948 B&W and 1949. I have 16 different of these "different " looking cards.

Please see the Ben Hogan cards side by side below.

Note the "washed out" look of the card on the left. and the different color card stock on the reverse of the card on the left.

I have heard of a possible Canadian issue of the 1949 Sport Champions Exhibits and wonder if any of you have any similar cards with the washed out look and darker card stock? If so please post them here or PM me with a list of those you have so I can try to put together a checklist

As most of you know Exhibits were issued in combinations of 16, 32 and 64 cards. So it is possible there are only 16 or 32 cards in this "new" set.

Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Joe Louis

There were also Canadian versions of the boxing run of that era. The known boxers are:

Sammy Angott
Jimmy Bivins
Arturo Godoy
Rocky Graziano
Billy Graham
Beau Jack
Joe Louis
Paddy De Marco
Manuel Oritz
Willie Pep
Ray Robinson
Cleo Shans
Robert Villemain
Luther Slugger White
Chalky Wright
Tony Zale
Fritzie Zivic

I've seen them in pink, blue and green, all with the same cruddy stock as the other Canadian cards.
