As a kid in 1973, I remember hanging out at the city pool and often hearing "Uneasy Rider .. so I just reached out and kicked old green teeth right in the knee". Later there was "Still in Saigon". And of course "The Devil Went Down to Georgia - Fire on the mountain run boys run, the devil's in the house of the rising sun". Charlie and his fiddle will certainly be missed.

Today AXS TV ( music based channel on Comcast) had a tribute to Charlie.

First was “The Big Interview” with Dan Rather. Well done!

Next was a long concert called Volunteer Jam that was incredible! Charlie played at the end of the show and was amazing ( the whole show was great), so it had to be filmed at least a year ago.

Then Sammy Hagar hung out with Charlie at his Tennessee home/recording studio, a show taped last June.

All very fitting tributes to one helluva performer, and by all rights, a great guy.
Rest In Peace Charlie, one of the greatest storyteller jam artists of all time!

No labels are appropriate for the Charlie Daniels Band on country, southern rock, blues, rock etc...they were everything all at once with a charismatic and talented leader!
