Default T205 Complete Set Gallery - Cropped and Cleaned

Posted By: Trae R.

I know they're not all perfect, but they're worth viewing in my opinion. I really appreciate the artwork that went into these and like looking at the clean images... so like the T206 gallery, I cleaned up the entire set.

You can click on an image to see the full-size version, or watch a slideshow here:

(click on 'fast' in the bottom left hand corner to speed it up)

Enjoy

You can also search on flickr through all of my baseball card images by a player's last name.
For instance here's the result of a Matty search:

Very nice work! I did a count--I have owned 69 of the major leaguers' autographs. The career minor leaguers would likely be impossible to turn up.

Those are great pics! Does anybody know how I can turn that into my screensaver?

Thanks!

Geno, funny you should mention that. Richard Armstrong is working on a little something right now actually. I have a few more ideas to convey to him and we'll see what we come up with. You can definitely expect T205 and T206 screen savers to be available soon, one way or another.

I have a solution currently that you could use, but it requires some tech-savvy. Are you pretty good with computers?

If so, you can download and install this:
http://www.wackylabs.net/2007/04/flickrnet-screensaver-41/

Then in the settings on the "Pictures" tab:
1. Make sure 'Per User' is selected
2. Enter "Trae Regan" where it says 'Whose Photos'
3. Select the 'With Tag' option and enter in "t205" or "t206", depending on which set you want to use for the screen saver.

This will use the same images you see in my flickr galleries as your screen saver.

Here are the settings if you want to try it out:

Enjoy!

I use your T206 images from your other site as my checklist to keep account of the T206s that I own. Its alot nicer to see an image than to just look at words typed in on a list.

Collect what you like,
Jantz

Trae,

What did you use to clean the images up with, photoshop?

I can tell you touched the borders but did you touch any of the detail inside the border?  If so, your damn good.

Marty,

I did use Photoshop, yes. I did pretty extensive work on the area inside the border on some of the cards. That's what took so long. It was not so bad though, when compared to having done the entire T206 set last year.

Here are most of the base images I used to create the set gallery:
http://tinyurl.com/2g22nw

Turner Engle provided any cards the LOC missed. (Thanks Turner!)

Here are a few examples of before and after:

I had 22 weeks / 2 quarters of Photoshop in college, but in the end it's really not much more than creative use of the "Stamp Tool".

Ah, but how many of them did you have on the actual T205 cards themselves?

In my notes, I only have four autographed t205s that I have seen for sale. All four were signed on the back.

Devlin, Snodgrass, Chase, and Meyers. Heavy New York influence there.

Joshua

PS Would love to see other examples. I just do not think t205s were signed as much as t206s.

I would be VERY interested in viewing the Devlin. His autograph is so scarce that I have only seen two and owned one since 1988. A signed T205 would be quite a coup--I'd be a touch leery of buying it sight unseen.

Oh, and Paul M., you're going to have to eventually settle for ANY signed material you can unearth on most of the players depicted in T-issues!
