Default Questions re T210 Old Mill Jackson

Posted By: Wesley

How difficult is this card to find?

What is the value of this card in Good or VG condition?

Why is this card more valuable than the E90-1 if it is more valuable than the E90-1?

Thanks in advance for your help. Wes

Wes,

This card is virtually impossible to find in any condition. I believe that there are only a few known copies. In terms of scarcity it puts the Wagner to shame. I have never seen one other than by photograph.

As far as value, I would think that this card would command 5 figures in lower grade. Considering that the E90-1 brings 4k in G to VG.

Greg

I, and I'm sure others, find the Old Mill Jackson (looking snazzy in his coat) a lot better looking than the E90-1. The E90-1 looks like a kid's crayon drawing.

Hitler!

The T210--the James Dean of the deadballera! The most romantic card I ever saw. What a coat!

No one has answer the implied question--which came first? I don't know. Guess it's a pretty tight race.

The e90-1 came first. Jax played for the A's in 1908 and 1909. The Old Mill cards were issued in 1910.

Do they ever come up for sale? The only time I have seen the T210 is in photos. I believe there was a picture or advertisement in a recent issue of VCBC.

If I ever get the bugs worked out of website, I will have a picture of the t210 Jax, since that got voted in to the card HOF during the last round of voting.

There was 1 auctioned off in the Halper Auction, and another 1 auctioned off by Steve Verkman (could be the same card - I'm not sure). I think there may have been a 3rd one, but I can't remember where. The card is definitely far more rare than the E90-1, although the E90-1 was issued a year earlier. Here is a picture for your viewing please (not mine, though I wish it was).
