I hate the fact that PSA only has standard size holders and has to use mylar for everything else. The slippage here could also be due to the fact that the oversize holder was not sealed properly -- this happened to me on an Alcindor rookie, the holder was on the verge of popping open when I received the card, and it had slipped through the guideposts as a result, although not quite so dramatically. That said, it may be that the card is not damaged, if all that happened is it slid a bit through an open space. |

After I got the card I liberated Buck from his plastic entombment. I don't think the card was really damaged and whatever happened in transit certainly wasn't Mastro's fault. The "capsule," if that's the word, was sealed tightly in the normal manner. It's just that there was too much wiggle room inside. The correctly sized insert, a la SGC, would have solved the problem. I'm definitely not a fan of the mylar-cellophane-Saran Wrap stuff. |
