Very excited to add a 53T Mays to my collection. Just arrived in the mail yesterday.

That's a nice-looking card for the grade. Lots of small or technical flaws but nothing glaringly awful.

Beautiful Mays! Here are my pickups so far, another big one is on it's way tomorrow.

For my money, Irvin has the best smile in all of baseball. The Snider will accompany my Mantle PSA 3. I can't get enough of the 52 Bowman set, so beautiful!

Thanks for the compliments guys! I was really wanting a 53T Mays for a while now. If I could only find a 52T Mays for a decent price... I really regret selling the one I had six months ago (what a mistake). Anyways thanks again and the cards that Jeremy posted are NICE as well.

Thanks Ian! It definitely took longer than I thought to find a PSA 1 with decent centering and flaws that I was ok with it. Definitely a grail in my collection.

With the help of Jay Miller (oldjudge) I was able to pick up my white whale that I've been looking for about 15 years. It's an Old Judge card of Eddie Hogan from the Cleveland team. Now I have all 5 poses of the card. Jay, thank you again for the help with the card.

I attended "The Villages" card show yesterday and pickups include a low grade 1962 Topps baseball wax box (only $30), low grade 1963 Fleer baseball lot with a Koufax, a starter set of 1969 OPC baseball, a hit to my shrinking 1961 Post cereal baseball, and some hits to my OPC hockey sets.

Wow! I doubt that any of my 1971 Topps are better than a PSA 5 if that Clemente is the standard.

I feel like I've seen 1971 Topps 7's that are much more off-center, and have much more wear.

I've never cracked a slab for a regrade, but I am tempted to with this one.

I picked up a 1979 Topps complete set this month. Ozzie drives the set, so I figured it would be the logical card to show here. However, I enjoy the rest of the set, too. Lately, I've been on a buy-back-the-cards-from-my-youth kick. It's an absolute blast; I couldn't imagine a project being more fun.

Not technically a new pickup, but I finally took the time to get this one back in a slab. You can’t complain about 7 days door-to-door on the regular service right now with SGC:

Thanks. It’s accurately graded. The issues are mostly minor and difficult to see. I’m certainly not complaining about the centering.

Thanks! Centering is tougher than I thought on 64 Topps, but the Silver Fox with silver hair and in the twilight of his career is one of my favorites. It doesn't hurt that he's playing for the best team in all of baseball !

I went to the Philly Show last night for a few hours. Vintage inventory was as strong as ever. Talked to some great people. Saw (almost) 97 year old Bobby Shantz!

And I brought home this beauty.

Default Philly Show Pickups

Picked up three mid-grade vintage cards at the Philly show yesterday. Two of 'em were raw, which felt strangely satisfying.
