Default The Collector & the Dealer, ep 33

It's up, Joe Davis and I talking the record prices for vintage, modern, pre-war, Lord, if it's a card of a 2-time All Star and comes back a 9 $$$$, it seems.

Joe also gives insight for strictly vintage collectors (me, until four months ago) who are wanting to at least round off their collections with some specific modern cards to add.

Second segment we discuss the opportunities, forced by your budget or otherwise lol, for a high-end collector who is now venturing back to the 50s and even earlier. If you've always insisted on 8s and 9s for your 60s, 70s etc cards, what will I find in the 5/5.5 range in 1953 Topps, both condition- and price-wise, for instance? What's that sliding scale?

We wrap with Joe talking about 2021 Topps Archives Signature, and me bringing normalcy and respect back to the proceedings with a nice fly-over of the 1953, 1954 and 1955 Johnston Cookies sets.

Please check it out, subscribe so it just shows up each week!
I appreciate all who enjoy it, comments welcome!
Chuck
