Default 1961 golden press ty Cobb question

Hello all,

I recently picked up a 1961 golden press Ty Cobb card with the intention of sending in for grading. I noticed however it has a blank back, compared to other cobbs I’ve seen with all the info on the back. My understanding is that blank backs came from the front cover and back cover of the golden press magazine. I’ve not been able to find another Cobb with a blank back in all my research.
Could someone shed some light on this for me please? Did I buy a fake? The edges have the little perforation tabs just like all the others, and also feels like the exact same card stock as my other ones. Thank you in advance! I’ll try to post some pics once I find a suitable photo sharing site. Thanks!

Not sure why anyone would fake that card so I’d imagine the answer to your question is no.

The cover cards do not have blank backs. Also, the cover cards are 1-3 on the front and 28-33 on the back. Cobb is #25. If it is blank backed it is an error card.

If you were planning PSA, they don't grade things like Blank backed cards unless they're checklisted somewhere. You probably need to buy a different one.

That's true. SGC will grade them, or at least they did the last time I tried.
