Another eBay purchase, this one from a seller in Canada.

Glad I grabbed a few Gretzky cards before the recent price spike.

i'm a huge fan of 82-83 OPC. I think they're underrated, mainly because the lack of big rookies. But I love the design and they're REALLY tough to get centered and cut clean.

I already had the OPC and made this impulse purchase on eBay a couple weeks ago.

The card value climbed a bit while the US Postal Service had it. Wish all my cards saw appreciation like that during transit.

Some of you may have seen this book on Ebay, as it's been floating around for a while. I finally decided to pick it up. It's super cool and something I probably won't ever see again. Tons of great signatures, including: Howe, Beliveau, Richard Brothers, Bobby Hull, Esposito Brothers, etc...

I haven't received it yet, but can't wait!

I'm just four cards away from a full set 1952-53 Parkhurst after these two Hall Of Fame rookie cards Leo Boivin and George Armstrong. I'm getting there!

A new arrival today that I didn't think was going to ever arrive. 75-76 OPC Bobby Orr. Surprisingly, this was a tough card for me to find centered (L/R) and although this one isn't perfect, it was the best I could find during my search period.

Nope. My Orr was likely stolen out of my mailbox. Apparently, the whole street got hit. I had to replace the box with a high security one but the card is gone.

Very happy to finally land this Gretzky rookie card. Took a while for it to arrive but well worth the wait.

A recent pickup that arrived not as described but due to the fact these are on the rare side and don't come up very often, and with that being reconfirmed with Jeff's opinion, (thanks again, Jeff) I have decided to keep it. A 70-71 OPC black bottom Bobby Orr card.

Sorry about that. With all the theft Ive seen on this thread, I've been asking for my packages to be delivered directly to my apartment manager. Even with my directions, they ignore it 50% of the time.

Great addition. Bummer about it no being accurately described. I have had that happen on a few rare Bench items I have picked up over the years and decided to keep instead of sending back for the exact same reason. Congrats!!!

A couple recent arrivals. I obviously don't know for sure, but I think Nicklas Backstrom will be a HOF'r someday? Great numbers, long career, Stanley Cup and a couple other awards should do it, imo.

Anyone else think/believe this?

I persevered through these Auction Sites being hacked, and up and down auctions to win some low grade hits to my '51-'52 and '52-'53 Parkhurst sets!

A few recent adds. A Nathan McKinnon young guns was out of the question due to its massive price increase lately so I thought this Fleer Ultra was a good alternative.
Also quite happy to pick up this, The Cup, Mike Bossy signed HOF induction card.

I'm working on it, Rob, but in all honesty, I need to slow down with my collecting! This covid boredom has cost me a lot of money lately, but since I can't seem to help myself, don't be surprise if I post more soon.

Haha, I hear ya. I have way too many PCs, and a little something here for one and a little something three for another...... You can see where this goes. So I get it.

This one was purchased prior to what I wrote above so it doesn't count.

Marcel Dionne, 71-72 OPC RC. Real happy with this one! The condition is fantastic and looks much better in hand than what it did in the sellers scans.

Thanks David.

There is a tiny little speck of something near Marcel's right ear that is stuck on there very good. I seen it in the sellers scans but I assumed/was hoping if was just dirt on his scanner's surface but that wasn't the case.
Regardless of that, and the fact it shows up more from a scan than it does in hand, I am still real happy with it.

Beautiful pick ups. Really like the signed book and the black bottom print Orr.
One of my favorite Orr's. Picked this up last week and it's now on it's way to Steve.

Beautiful pick ups. Really like the signed book and the black bottom print Orr.
One of my favorite Orr's. Picked this up last week and it's now on it's way to Steve.
Is that a Lemieux box bottom in your last pick? I'm not familiar with them all that much but it looks attached to to player beside him?
Nice looking packs you have coming.

A couple recent arrivals. Terry Sawchuk and Pat Verbeek.

Pat Verbeek is not a HOF'r but I just recently found out his birthday is exactly the same as mine. Same day, same month, same year, so I thought I'd grab it up just for fun.

Yes. Lemieux is on the bottom of the box. I remembered opening these in 1985-87 and thinking the box bottom was just as cool as the regular issue.

I haven't received it yet, but can't wait!
I have never seen this, and can't tell you how cool I think it is too.
Very nice.

The opc Gretzky has a minor surface wrinkle/crease on the yellow on the boards that can't be seen well. Not on the back. Looks like a PSA 5, but got the PSA 2 because of that wrinkle.
