Frank name the names of the stores (you told us that you have bought them from stores) where you bought these items.
You can be the guy who breaks this whole thing open.

I'd have to agree... we'd all like to see this B.S. gone from the hobby and I'm sure you would too? Me thinks it is probably the same group supplying CC. Come on Frank....Sing like a canary so us lowly collectors can have some more insight on the NON STOP forgeries that never seem to go away. You can help stop it Frank if you have the gumption to stay in business and fight these fraudsters. It couldn't hurt with the beating your rep is taking. It seems that Ace is Now Moral Less and STAT (TTA) like, certing everything they see.

Be the point man Frank...tell everyone who the supplier is of this material and it will get us 1 step closer to stopping CC.

Default Justin Priddy, ACE, Derek Jeter Signed Photo

Another beauty authenticated by Priddy (ACE). This crap is listed on a auction site that will remain nameless. They list a lot of ACE authenticated junk.

"News" is when you see a Priddy COA on an authentic item. Over at Autograph News Live, we found one or two... so at least Priddy is not batting .000.

Blind squirrel... stopped clock... etc.

Come on Frankie P. who is the supplier of these forgeries? Being such a seasoned dealer, you must have suspected these were fakes, but decided to sell them anyway. Otherwise, why wouldn't you blow up the source so we all can learn? Because you are involved in this forgery ring?

I respect Davids opinion, so perhaps we did find one of the sources of all these ridiculous forgeries afterall. You. Silence is not golden in this respect and it chaps Fudd's Fat Fanny.

I understand why you wouldn't publicly name names based on suspicion only.

Just curious... would the suspect(s) be names we'd recognize?

Why the sudden silence Frank? You've checked in on this thread at least twice in the last two days, but haven't answered any of the questions posed to you. It's hard to take you seriously about your concern with fraud in the autograph industry now that you've gone silent.

It's interesting, too, that Frank writing that he has 25 years collecting experience, that he didn't raise an eyebrow when offered a total of 13 (17 if you want to count the that he claimed he already sold) Matty cut sigs and over 40 Babe Ruth cut sigs, and he sure didn't blink an eye when shelling out the cash to pay for those cut sigs.

Default Justin Priddy, ACE, Derek Jeter Signed Baseballs

Presently on Coach's Corner Auctions (Sept. 2011 Auction). Six (6) Derek Jeter autographed baseballs authenticated by Mr. Priddy (ACE). Poor forgeries.

There are presently over 100 listings on the Roach's Corner auction site that are ACE certified. Over 80% of those auction listing do not include a photograph. Think about that.

Authenticated by Justin Priddy (ACE) and Mike Baker. Interesting check with Babe Ruth's signature GH Ruth on the back.

See the way the ink is "feathered" on the Ruth signature? That's what happens when you write with a fountain pen on old paper. See how the fountain pen writing on the front of the check is not feathered? That's 'cause it was written before the paper had aged for fifty-or-so years.

A good forgery, but a forgery nonetheless.

It's small, but it appears the ink is feathered on the front as well. Look at the 5 in 45 of the year.

Could this be a case of someone finding an old unused checkbook and faking everything, including the bank marks and holes?

After my posting, I looked at the photo more closely, and changed my mind.
There is some feathering on the front, and I believe you're right, Steve. It's likely that the whole thing is a contemporary creation using an old blank check.

That's because it's a ticket stub--made of cheap, porous cardboard. Ink doesn't feather on writing paper unless the paper is old.

These last few post have really taught me about "feathered ink". Very enlightening. Thanks for the knowledge all.

Yes, interesting. I'd never heard the feathering thing before.

If anyone's curious, the bank became Chase Manhattan in 55, and Chase still has a branch at that address.

I wonder if Justin Priddy will be there, too. If ACE (Justin Priddy) is there, then Frank can have his face-to-face with Justin.

Default A.C.E. certs in upcoming Huggins & Scott auction

I noticed today that Huggins & Scott has 4 items (at least) in their upcoming auction that are authenticated by Justin Priddy, including Cy Young, Hornsby, Speaker, Wagner cuts. H&S are very good people who clearly do not know what they are about to do their reputation.

Having read this thread through I feel as though I need to find the nearest fire hydrant, uncork it, stick my head in the stream, and blast away the sleaze. What a business...
